Camp 4 Seasons is a free two day-long camp
to help kids in grades K-12
Children grieve differently than adults, often masking their feelings. Kids in pain may fall behind in school, isolate themselves from family and friends, or have angry outbursts. Often when grief is pushed away like that, it returns later in life.
Enter Camp 4 Seasons. Campers get to meet and share their feelings with peers who have gone through similar experiences. They break into small groups and, led by Hospice staff, learn to trust each other and open up about their feelings.
Ninety percent of human communication is nonverbal, so Camp 4 Seasons makes great use of hands-on arts and crafts projects. Most importantly, kids leave camp with coping skills they can use in their daily lives.
